The Wright's Classic began in 1999 at Wright's Barnyard in Valparaiso, Indiana, USA. Four different champions won in the first four years of the Classic. In the fifth year, Garrett became the first golfer to add a second title.
The mid-2000s saw the first back-to-back victories. Josh earned the Classic in 2004 and 2005, both of which required extra holes to decide. Sage shocked the field in 2007 with his no-nonsense approach. The 2000s closed out with Garrett's remarkable three-peat.
Eric broke his seven-year Classic curse by scoring his first victory in 2012. Matt picked up his second Classic trophy in 2013. Garrett won his seventh Classic in 2014. Eric became the fourth repeat champion earning his second title in 2015. Garrett claimed his eighth title in 2016.
Jon captured his second Classic in 2017 and ended his 17 year title drought. Garrett won his ninth championship in 2018 and set a new record at 39 strokes. 2018 also featured the first indoor Classic due to the weather. Matt closed out the teens winning his third victory in 2019 in Smyrna.
Jon cemented his legacy with his third win in 2020.
